The TOP EXPO competition of the FOR HABITAT, FOR GARDEN, FOR FURNITURE Trade Fairs, of the DESIGN SHAKER Selective Exhibition of Interior Design and of the LIGHT IN ARCHITECTURE Specialised Exhibition already knows its winners. There were many possibilities for choice at the trade fair, which means that the work of the Jury members was not easy. Important features for the Jury included not only the appearance but also functionality and focus on customers. 

The unambiguously dominating exposition among the FOR HABITAT Trade Fair exhibitors was the one of DOPOS Přelouč s.r.o., a supplier of shading technology, which fascinated through its detailed design and excellent presentation of the exhibits. The best stand at the FOR FURNITURE Trade Fair was presented by CFH Group, a.s., which manufactures medical mattresses. The Jury appreciated the high-quality layout of the exposition with an emphasis on details. PIESOK-SK s.r.o. addressed visitors with an inspiring solution of the exposition presented at the trade fair for gardens and garden technology. The organisers of the FOR GARDEN Trade Fair decided to grant a Honourable Mention also to the irrigation company Profigrass s.r.o. for an interesting solution of promotion of exhibits. The minimal design of the furniture manufacturing company “JELÍNEK - výroba nábytku s.r.o.” was appreciated by the Jury at the Selective Exhibition of Interior Design known as DESIGN SHAKER. An absolutely unique architectonic design of the entire exposition was demonstrated by PROLICHT CZECH s.r.o. at the Specialised Exhibition LIGHT IN ARCHITECTURE.

Exercising and therapeutic mattress

While sleeping, your body regenerates and rests. On the market it is currently possible to find also the mattresses which are able, in fact, to exercise for you, more exactly said they ensure stretching for you. “In cooperation with medical schools we together try to develop products which help and cure,” said František Hlaváč, Managing Director of the Magniflex Company, to Novinky, adding that the Magnistretch mattress is able to support, during the sleeping process, the treatment of e.g. prolapsed disc, pinched nerve in the spinal area or setting of the spine. The mattress with the world-wide patent is simply able to ensure all these functions. “People feel immediate relief. The essential fact is that the upper layer of the mattress will embrace you. From the waist up and from the waist down it will start to stretch through the operation of the load, in a non-invasive way. According to the tests carried out, a person using this mattress can stretch by 1.5 cm for eight hours,” states Hlaváč, adding that eight hours of sleeping on the mattress corresponds approximately to thirty minutes of exercising focused on the stretching of the spine. The product is available at two heights and in the medium-rigid and medium-soft variants. The product costs about 23 to 25 thousand crowns.

Life extending bed

In order to ensure a nice fragrance in the bedroom, you can, for example, light a scented candle there. Furniture manufacturers thought out still a better variant, which provides not only a nice fragrance but at the same time it cures as well. “The bed made of alpine stone pine, which grows in the Alps at a height above 1600 metres, is interesting also thanks to the fact that it features a high content of pinosylvin, which is the substance released gradually from the wood. And thanks to this substance you can sleep better. Your sleeping is deeper, and it is even possible to reduce the heart rate by up to eight thousand units per night, which means that if you sleep in this bed you can live longer,” says David Srněnský, Business Representative of Jelínek, with enthusiasm, stating that in Europe this bed is not new, but in Bohemia it has been sold for two years only. Czechs are said to get accustomed to such things rather slowly. In its basic design it is possible to buy the bed at a price of CZK 30,000, while in full equipment you will buy it for CZK 70,000.

Dog beds and cots

Only few people are aware of the fact that even pet dogs can have the same problems as their masters during the sleeping time. With regard to the fact that Czechs are fond of their dogs, also the mattress manufacturers had to respond to customers’ requirements. “We were asked to produce the same mattress also for the dog which had problems with joints or setting of the spine. For this reason we have four types of beds and cots of various sizes with an Italian memory foam,” says Hlaváč.

Moss wall

If you like to include natural elements in your homes, you can complete your bedroom also with a moss wall. It raises a pleasant, calming impression and creates an atmosphere of a forest and rest. In no case is the wall an imitation, it is formed of real forest moss. “Although we have been manufacturing the walls for five years, it is not a usual article yet and it is still perceived as an innovation. The real future of this element will only come. It is really organic moss which was grown in special places and which was harvested by the companies with certification for moss harvesting. Then the moss is preserved, which means that it does not require any moisture, watering or daylight anymore,” says Jakub Hoďánek from the Flower Company adding that the product does not require almost any maintenance. Sometimes it is good to remove dust from the moss, by using the vacuum cleaner or fan. The only attribute which it loses in the course of time is colour. A pleasant characteristic, unlike the moss brought home from the forest, is the fact that no insects come out from the product preserved this way in the owner’s home. With regard to the fact that the company has been operating for five years, its owners know that moss can last for five years. The prices start at three thousand per square metre but you can get even to fifteen thousand crowns for mound moss. It depends on the type which you choose.

More than thirty thousand visitors will come to the FOR HABITAT, FOR GARDEN, FOR FURNITURE Trade Fairs, to the presentation of interior design known as DESIGN SHAKER, to the exhibition entitled BYDLENÍ, nové projekty (LIVING, New Projects) and this year for the first time also to the specialised exhibition LIGHT IN ARCHITECTURE. The set of the spring trade fairs was commenced on Thursday in the morning by Karla Šlechtová, Minister for Regional Development, together with Jiří Koliba, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Vlastimil Pick, Vice President of the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic, and Pavel Sehnal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ABF. Almost six hundred expositions and a rich accompanying programme are prepared for visitors. The event is open from Thursday to Saturday, from 10 to 18 hours and ends on Sunday (26 March) at 17 hours. This year’s set of the spring FOR HABITAT Trade Fairs (i.e. FOR HABITAT, FOR GARDEN, FOR FURNITURE, DESIGN SHAKER, Světlo v architektuře (Light in Architecture) and Bydlení, nové projekty (Living, New Projects) attracted a number of rare foreign visitors.

The ceremonial opening and subsequent cocktail of the joint exposition of the Italian firms at the DESIGN SHAKER Trade Fair under the MEDINIT company’s organisation was attended by H.E. Aldo Amati, Italian Ambassador to the Czech Republic and by representatives of the Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CAMIC).

The private event of the DESIGN SHAKER OPENING intended for designers and other professionals from the sector was graced by the presence of also Mr. Gerhard Schlattl, Commercial Attaché of Austria, and Jan Cimerman, Marketing Director of the Commercial Department of the Embassy of Austria, or Mr Adam Čumpel, Commercial Advisor of the Embassy of Denmark.

H.E. Efthymios Efthymiades, Ambassador of Greece to the Czech Republic, visited the trade fair on the second day, together with Mr. Pavlos Olziersky, Greek Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs, and they saw the entire trade fair and together visited the stand with the furniture of the Greek Exhibitor MESA EXO in the 2D hall.

The market research for individual sectors of the trade fairs was processed by commercial counsellors from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain, Mrs. Nerea Gallego Ortiz de Zarate and Mr. Pablo Bajo Dasca.

The trade fairs attracted also a number of foreign purchasing managers, who may have visited your stand as well. For example, Mr. Develtere, proprietor of the Belgium-based firm of the same name, accompanied by Markéta Borůvková, Deputy Belgian Attaché, or Daeha Chair Co. a company from South Korea, looking for partners and distributors in the area of office furniture through the Chamber of Commerce at the Czech-Korean Society, were just two cases from the series of the VIP visitors trying to establish business contacts.

From Thursday, 23 March, to Sunday, 26 March, it will be possible to see, at the PVA EXPO PRAGUE Letňany Exhibition Centre, the latest trends in the field of living. Hundreds of both Czech and foreign companies will bring their innovations and the best articles of their offers to the FOR HABITAT, FOR GARDEN, FOR FURNITURE Trade Fairs and to the presentation of interior design known as DESIGN SHAKER, LIVING, NEW PROJECTS, and this year for the first time also to the event entitled LIGHT IN ARCHITECTURE. This means that visitors will have a possibility of finding “under one roof” all what is associated with construction activities, equipment, interiors, design and gardens. It will be possible to attend free-of-charge consultations with interior designers and architects, a lecture organised by the State Environmental Fund focused on the drawing of subsidies for constructions and renovations, or to see a large-format exhibition of photographs. The traditional parade of interesting materials, colors and solitaires arrayed in four directions will be held for the fourth time already. Same as previous years it is now taken under the wings of interior designer Iva Bastlová and publications on this accompanying program will be part of the specialized Interiors magazine. A novelty is the change in location. The exposition will still be located in the entrance hall 2, but not in one of the side parts, now visitors would pass it directly. New auditorium grew at the original place and there would be held a lecture on the topic of interior trends: POETIC, HARMONY, CULTURAL and SMART.

This style is full of pastel colours and subtle tones. Elements are traditional and modern at the same time. The interiors of this style is harmonious, gentle but also timeless. It cares about your soul and a it is a place for relaxation. The main inspiration is the art of all forms.

This is an absolutely calm interior, where main roles are played by natural materials like real wood, stone or wool. That is a reflection on ecology, recycling and up-recycling and also about the home itself, what is now not only a place for meeting with family, but it becomes a place for work (home office) as well. Colours are muted, earthy, main duo plays green and blue.

It is not just retro, it is also a combination of cultures, old and new. It's just our home. Nature, fun, life! Such are interiors in this style that you play for nothing. The materials are diverse as well as motifs and patterns. The colours are bright, distinctive tones are complement with soft neutrals.

Easy to clean, multi-functional, playful! Such are modern interiors, accomplished with high-level technology. The base of the interior is fresh and vivid, up to neutral, and it is complemented by bold colours such as red or green. Gloss and mat create a combination, as well as the 3D effects on a smooth surface with plastic tops.

Specialized exhibition of lighting, design and accessories called SVĚTLO V ARCHITEKTUŘE (LIGHT IN ARCHITECTURE) was taken by the ABF company from the CZECH ARCHITECTURE WEEK company on 17. 10. 2016. The fifth year of the project will be held at PVA EXPO PRAGUE in Letnany as a separate event simultaneously with the FOR HABITAT, FOR FURNITURE, FOR GARDEN, DESIGN SHAKER and BYDLENÍ, NOVÉ PROJEKTY (LIVING, NEW PROJECTS) fairs from 23 to 26 March 2017.

ABF will enable long-term development of the SVĚTLO V ARCHITEKTUŘE (LIGHT IN ARCHITECTURE) project

SVĚTLO V ARCHITEKTUŘE (LIGHT IN ARCHITECTURE) project presents the best and the most prominent Czech and world brands in the field of lamps and lighting equipment. It is intended primarily for architects, designers, construction engineers and developers from all over the Czech Republic. Its translation into modern premises PVA EXPO PRAGUE in Letnany provides the project with comprehensive exhibition facilities and benefits for both exhibitors and visitors.

The project here may expand to a larger exhibition area, which provides space for the presentation of other companies in the field and extend the offer to visitors. Another reason is the development of related professional programs. There can be hosted variety of conferences, lectures, seminars or workshops, both on the show floor and in conference rooms, which provide modern technical facilities. Generally ABF company wants to continue to build the brand SVĚTLO V ARCHITEKTUŘE (LIGHT IN ARCHITECTURE) and further develop professional accompanying programs.

The main media partner will still be magazine SVĚTLO (Light).

Looking back at fairs

In March a total of 28 538 visitors has seen set of fairs focusing on housing, design and garden – FOR FURNITURE, FOR HABITAT, FOR GARDEN, DESIGN SHAKER and BYDLENÍ, NOVÉ PROJEKTY. The exhibition area of 31,500 m2 showcased exposition from 557 firms and companies. We would like to once again thank all the exhibitors and visitor for their participation and we believe that with many of you we will meet at the autumn fair FOR INTERIOR, which will be held in conjunction with the fair FOR GASTRO&HOTEL on 29 September – 2 October 2016.
